Clare Ecolodge at Loughnane’s is a unique family-run guest accommodation experience. We offer a variety of accommodation to suit the needs of individuals and groups visiting County Clare;  for in-house residential courses, nearby activities, and for those who want to use the village as a base to explore the wild and beautiful landscape of the East and mid East region of County Clare. We are an ideal venue for group get-togethers, residential courses and retreats.

We are ideally located to discover the County Clare countryside. Located on the foothills of the Slieve Augthy mountain range, on our doorstep is the East Clare and Mid Clare walkway, and there are plenty of cycling loops on quiet roads from the village. Lough Derg is 10 minutes away and The Burren and coast are 40 minutes drive. There are many local sites to visit and activities available. Steeped in history and heritage, the area is known for its fine walks, stunning lakes, rugged mountains and of course its vibrant Irish traditional music scene.

The buildings, designated as historically significant, have been in the family for over 150 years.  The most recent renovation was in 2018. Our renewable energy system means we produce over 60% of our electricity and hot water in a sustainable way on site. We aim to be 95 -100% sustainable by 2025.

There is high fibre broadband throughout the premises.
